Job Description
- Req#: 544288
- Receives, unpacks, labels and issues materials to warehouse or designated location.
- Inspection of incoming and outgoing goods for quality and damage.
- Measures, weighs or counts materials and product.
- Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
- Stacks pallets of product for loading per shipping requirements.
- Maintains the required clerical records.
- Completes all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Completes weekly cycle count.
- Operates warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintains inventory of all packaging and shipping supplies.
- Cleans, maintains and organizes work area and all equipment.
- Back-up driver for SMC truck.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma / GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift certified.
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
- Exposure to machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
