      The role
      As a Ship Stability Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll deliver Ship’s Stability training courses in line with company standards and contractual requirements and support the preparation of course modules as directed by the Department Training Manager.

      Day to day, you’ll deliver training in person or remotely via the Virtual Learning Environment, plan and review lessons, exam marking and ensure quality of training is delivered to a high standard.

      • Managing and instructing military and civilian personnel in ship stability academic modules to post graduate level in accordance with approved instructional specifications.
      • Supervising the conduct of laboratory and assignment work in support of the above.
      • Invigilating of examinations and marking assessments and assignments in support of the above.
      • Being responsible for a Module Resource Pack and/or the Subject Matter Expert with respect to ship’s stability modules.
      • Maintain personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies.

      This is a full-time role that is based at our site in Gosport, Hampshire.

      Essential experience of the Ship Stability Trainer:

      • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications and be curious about latest technical training support resources
      • Experience of applying ship stability and ship architecture engineering principles practically in a military technical environment

      Qualifications for the Ship Stability Trainer:

      • Minimum L3 qualification in engineering, marine preferred

      The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
