      1st Shift Shop Helper

      Job Description

      Join our dynamic team as a Shop Helper, where you will be integral in building wood shipping skids, operating forklifts, and assisting in general shop maintenance. Your role will involve using hand, power, and specialty tools, aiding in equipment tagging for shipping and receiving, and contributing to various shop duties as needed.

      Responsibilities

      • Build wood shipping skids for company equipment.
      • Operate forklifts daily to support work needs.
      • Assist with taking garbage out each morning using a forklift.
      • Help with maintenance and repairs on the building or grounds.
      • Drive a truck and trailer between buildings to move equipment in the future.
      • Tag equipment for shipping and receiving.
      • Perform other versatile shop help duties as they arise.

      Essential Skills (Must have these)

      • Minimum of 3 years forklift experience.
      • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws and drills.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
      • Clean driving record suitable for insurance purposes.
      • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Ability to read a tape measure.
      • Experience with pallet building and general labor.

      Work Environment

      Work within a custom fabrication and building environment, specializing in conveyor lines and systems for industries such as bottling, food, and paper. You will be part of a team across two local shops.


      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.
