- Demonstrate ability to follow safety precautions while providing transport service.
- Demonstrate ability to stay alert for arriving and departing customers.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in all interactions with patients, families, visitors and employees.
- Demonstrate ability to inspects vehicles daily and continuously monitors them for problems and reports vehicle operation problems to Engineering when needed to ensure quick resolution and limited disruption to customer transportation
Job Summary:
The Shuttle Operator transports visitors safely to and from the Hospital parking lots. May also be responsible for monitoring traffic flow in and out of parking lots. Shuttle Operator reports to the Operations Manager of Central Transportation. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while begin sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required. A training program will be required to include safety policies and use and operation of a Golf Car. This training will be provided by Public Safety.

Must have the ability to interact with others, make judgmental decisions, and demonstrate initiative. Able and willing to conform to standards of the hospital.
