What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interpret effectively between ASL and spoken English
- Adhere to company policies and NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism
- Work effectively in a team environment and meet performance expectations
- Enhance interpreting skills through continuing education and training
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to pass required skills assessment
- High school diploma or GED
- Interpreter certification
- 3 years' experience working as an interpreter
- Ability to travel independently and access to a vehicle with valid driver's license
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- Wide continuum of language skills in ASL and English
- Fluency in Tactile American Sign Language
- Experience working with intern students or providing mentoring
- Ability to use technology for accurate reporting
