Job Description
- Req#: 1202
- Set-up, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Component replacement (hydraulics, fuel systems, transmissions, undercarriage, electrical, etc.)
- Shop Service: Work with mentor technicians in a fully equipped shop
- Field Service: Operate from a company-provided service truck, servicing customers at their job sites
- Maintain high-quality standards and follow all safety procedures
- Must own tools required to perform heavy equipment repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Hands-on experience with transmissions, track systems, components, and fuel systems
- Previous experience with Caterpillar or competitive earthmoving equipment brands
- Proficient in technical diagnostics and able to use Cat ET (Electronic Technician) or similar systems
- Welding and fabrication experience: MIG welding, arc gouging, oxyacetylene torch
- Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors
- Formal training from OEM programs or accredited technical schools
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as Cat ET, Cummins Insite, or competitor platforms
