- Investigating and resolving software defects

- Developing and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the software development process
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

- A proactive and adaptable mindset in a dynamic team environment
- 4 years of relevant experience
- A graduate degree in an engineering discipline (such as Computer Systems, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Electrical, Software, or similar)
- Experience with one or more of the following programming languages:
C, C++, Fortran, Python, C# - Knowledge of aeronautical / aircraft systems, an advantage
- Experience working with UNIX-type (such as Linux or AIX) Operating Systems.

About This Role
Job Description
We are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to support engineering activities related to through-life support contracts, in accordance with CAE’s engineering management system, as well as activities associated with upgrades and installations. The role will be located at our office in either Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD.
Nature of Work
You’ll contribute to the development of advanced simulation systems used in aviation and defence training environments, helping to ensure realism, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Simulation Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers to develop and maintain industry-leading simulation software. You will work closely with instructors, engineers, technical leaders, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
