      Job Overview

      The Site Dental Director (SDD) is responsible for the overall operations of the dental site, including clinical patient care, quality, patient experience, and financial sustainability. Provides guidance and mentorship to dentists and manages their performance accordingly. The SDD oversees, provides direction, coaching, and guidance to the Dental Office Manager. Collaborates with Dental Office Manager on site-level strategic planning to ensure implementation of effective and efficient workflows to meet or exceed goals. The SDD works with Clinic Directors and Site Medical Directors to drive performance in medical-dental integration efforts.

      Minimum Requirements

      • Dentist with an active unrestricted CA license to practice dentistry by the Dental Board of California and a DEA License required.

      • Prior experience in a leadership or management role is strongly preferred.

      • 3 years’ experience or more as a practicing dentist.

      • Previous experience with computer-based systems required, Electronic Dental records experience required.

      • Education, training, and experience are necessary to meet the underwritten requirements for inclusion under AltaMed’s malpractice insurance coverage.

      • Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred, depending on location.

      • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

      Compensation

      $210,724.80 - $263,406.00 annually
