      Please note:

      · This role is based in Springs, Sibanye Stillwater Ltd

      Reports: Functional: Construction Manager, Operational: Senior Manager Assurance, Worley (SSA, Qatar & Kuwait)

      Main Purpose of Job:

      n To manage and co-ordinate the Site Quality Control function to ensure Client and WorleyParsons ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements are implemented, maintained and remain effective

      n Ensure that the necessary site QMS processes and procedures are established and are available for site personnel to effectively perform their tasks.

      Key Responsibilities:

      n Establish the site QMS based on the Management system requirements including creating the necessary forms that are needed for the QA/QC tasks.

      n Improve site QC processes to make them streamlined and documented as supplementary procedure to the main MS procedure (If required).

      n Reviewing and approving Construction Contractor quality plans, ITPs and other quality related submittals.

      n Identifying and implementing quality induction and training requirements to ensure personnel have enough understanding of the requirements of the project and Procedures to achieve project objectives.

      n Performing scheduled assessment of Construction Contractor activities against their approved Quality Plan, Procedures and ITPs based on their work scope. These assessments do not relieve the Construction Contractor of their responsibilities to audit their own lower tier sub-contractor(s) to ensure conformance to project requirements.

      n Verification of Witnessing and signing for acceptance of all on-site construction.

      n Maintaining the recorded set of acceptance tests, conformance certificates and approved ITPs and testing Procedures

      n Identifying nonconforming conditions and notifying the Construction Manager of situations that justify stopping work.

      n Taking the lead role in issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), following any issued NCR to closure and maintaining a log of NCRs and corrective action.

      n Participating in weekly progress meetings with the Construction Contractor and to identify and address any potential Quality-related project risks which may arise.

      n Verification of Monitoring/witnessing the quality activities of the Construction Contractor and document completed quality surveillance of the Construction Contractor’s work in accordance with the requirements of approved ITPs and method statements with referenced procedure, forms and specifications.

      n Supervising any VUP direct-hire third-party inspection or testing agencies if required.

      n Identifying and reviewing quality records required for turnover.

      n Preparing a weekly and monthly report to management summarizing site quality activities, concerns, and project quality statistics for the period.

      n Ensure data books are timeously completed and progress status tracked to prevent commissioning delay’s

      n Verifying that project quality objectives are met.

      n Participating in Project Lessons Learnt Workshop.

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      n Education:

      · Matric

      · Relevant quality management related qualification(s)

      · Welding & Fabrication Inspectors level 2

      · NDE Qualification/certification (MPT,PT,RT – Level 2)

      · NACE coating inspector will be an advantage

      · Quality Assurance Qualification (Internal Auditors) distinct advantage

      n Experience:

      · 5-10 years’ minimum Process Plan quality related experience

      · Must pass the Client onboarding Integrity test (NB)

      · Must be willing to undertake site medicals.

      · Be computer illiterate WORD, EXCEL AND POWERPOINT

      · Understanding and experience of ISO 9001

      · Have relevant safety management knowledge

      · Knowledge of AWS D1.1 Code requirement

      · Knowledge of ASME code requirements

      · Knowledge of process pant in general

      · Process Plant experience
