- Plan, elaborate and develop scheduling programs using different tools (i.e. SAP, planning tables, Gantt chart, and MS Office) to plan the execution of production processes; involving all productive and strategic areas on site.
- Attend operation meetings, involving all supply chain areas (procurements, manufacturing unit, COE, logistics and QOM) according to the current Management System.
- Coordinate and organize special meetings when required to manage rush, special or breakdown orders with the required supply chain areas.
- Keep updated the planning tools and reports to run KPI’s reports. Production backlog, backlog hours, maintenance of work centres and capacities in different reports and SAP.
- Manage the coordination of material resource planning according to order demands (i.e. stock materials, planned orders, purchase requisitions, exception messages and others) and keep track of the ITO (inventory turnover) KPI
- Confirmation of delivery dates and coordination of the processes according to the different scenarios of the orders (ETO, MTO, MTS) for the production planning and identify critical parts, productivity solutions and investments.
- Run the proper reports to analyse the production planning, strategic planning and lead times, database maintenance and constant update of procedures, formats and registers for the area.
- Analyse the current state of the backlog and calculate the forecast or quoted projects to update the lead times file.
- Report any CMMS system related quarries to the CMMS system custodian.
- Follow the procedures, instructions and documents of the latest Management System.
- Report any incident, accident or risk condition that may affect the safety and health of people, equipment or environment.
- Comply with the internal rules and regulations of the company
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Mechanical education/qualification in a related field.
- At least five (5) years relevant experience in maintenance planning in related industry.
- High knowledge of ore processing.
- Understanding of Failure Analysis Techniques.
- Understanding of Maintenance Management techniques and systems.
- Data collection and systematic analysis.
- Detailed understanding of shutdown practices.
- Good knowledge of procedures for start-up, operating routines, emergencies, routine inspection and maintenance.

JOB TITLE: SITE PLANNER
We are seeking a Site Planner to join our LCS team. You will be responsible for providing Metso’s customers with professional technical support of its products.
Co-ordinates and controls the placement of orders for materials at the correct prices and delivery requirements; Liaises between suppliers and the project teams as required; Supervises the issuing of orders for contracts.
In this position, you will report to the LCS Site Manager .
This position is mainly located in Amandelbult & Mortimer, South Africa

You will join a team of Technicians that strive to effectively deliver a seamless experience, that delivers a “technical solution” that meets the customer’s needs, thus supporting the sales team to, to enhance and build relationships with the downstream effect on sales realisation.
We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as the Service Business Line Technical Support Teams to assure a common understanding/application of technical and safety support and information to support and provide excellent customer service on Metso’s equipment.
