  We are a Software as a Service (SaaS) organization that oversees the entire BMC cloud portfolio. Member of the internal team benefits from the automation work done by our team, allowing for more rapid deployment. In order to expand our business, we have adopted all DevOps principles that facilitate the automation of formerly manual processes.

  In this position, you’ll work very closely with: BMC Remedy SaaS Ops Team: Operations, Automation, Observability, Security. Due to our continued growth, we're excited to offer an 8-week summer internship with our Site Reliability Engineering team. We’re looking for people who are just as passionate about solving issues with distributed systems as they are to automate, code and collaborate to tackle problems.

  Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

  • Bringing new automation technologies to improve the velocity and quality of our operation efforts.
  • Participating in supporting and improving tools for continuous integration, automated performance & release management.
  • Troubleshooting & fixing all Issues identified during releases.
  • Participating in building systems automation and provisioning frameworks for environments.
  • Participate in Internal Team Review meetings.
  • This position is a part of BMC SaaS Ops Model. This will include weekends during releases activities and after hour work as needed.

  
  
  

  To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python, Linux-based systems.
  • Should have a good understanding of CI/CI Tools like Jenkins, Ansible & Git.
  • A strong willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

  Good to Have:

  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes and understanding of containerization.
  • Strong Problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong Problem-solving ability.
  • Exposure to DevOps technologies and Processes is highly preferred.
