      POSITION OVERVIEW:

      EOS IT Solutions is seeking a technically proficient Service Reliability Engineer to join our managed services infrastructure engineering team, supporting advanced collaboration technologies in a fast paced and industry leading environment. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated technical enthusiast with a strong foundation in IT, networking, and collaboration technologies, and a passion for continuous learning.

      WHAT YOU’LL DO:

      • Operations: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to collaboration technologies, networking, and infrastructure utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
      • Software Management: Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching on collaboration systems, network infrastructure, and associated hardware and software components
      • Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts using languages such as Bash, Python. PHP, and industry-standard frameworks to streamline infrastructure and application deployment.
      • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Implement and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
      • Incident Management: Efficiently handle live production incidents, debug and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
      • Security and Compliance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry best practices and standards.
      • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications and infrastructure.
      • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes, system configurations, and network topologies.
      • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support as needed, acting as an escalation point for critical issues.
      • Continuous Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives in Collaboration Media and DevOps practices.

      WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

      • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or full-stack application development-focused role.
      • Technical Skills:
        • Expertise in Linux and the effective use of shell tooling.
        • Understanding of network and infrastructure architectures, standards and how they are integrated to provide robust functional systems.
        • Solid experience in the use of automation tools and the development of automated services using Python.
      • Monitoring and Observability: Experience in the effective monitoring and observability of services and systems using custom detectors to drive automated remediation.
      • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with incident management in a production environment.
      • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
      • Continuous Learning: Self-motivated and inquisitive, with a passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
      • Security: Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing them in a corporate environment.
      • ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management principles.

      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

      • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
      • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience with network troubleshooting.
      • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
      • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
      • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
