Job Description

- Promote safety, safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel.
- Assist branch / site with the implementation and administration of the company’s accident prevention plan, policies and procedures. Including safety resources such as training, expertise and guidance.
- Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
- Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
- Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.
- Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
- Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
- Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
- Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of plant site and corporation.
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Minimum 2 years experience in a safety related field.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- On-the-job training offered.
- Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
