      Site Services Coordinator, Christina Lake (Contract)

      Reporting to the Sire Services Lead, this position will plan and schedule all site services Site Services work scopes related to MEG Energy roads, utilities, airstrip, building and camp maintenance, general facilities, and common services support. The development and ongoing implementation of a CMMS based preventative maintenance program is critical, in addition to ongoing corrective maintenance and small project requirements. The successful candidate will lead by example in demonstrating strong safety and inclusive leadership and drive operational improvements with creativity and innovate that drives MEG’s culture of inclusivity and innovation.

      This contract position is based at our Christina Lake SAGD site near Conklin, Alberta and will be working a 7x7 shift flying out of Calgary or Edmonton.

      *Please note, this is a 12-month contract position with compensation as a straight hourly rate. There is the opportunity for contract renewal*

      Your day-to-day will include:

      • Ensuring the safety of themselves and all others while promoting a positive safety culture

      • Perform daily field audits to ensure safety is priority one and teams have the required support needed

      • Field supervision of all Site Services Construction and Maintenance contractors

      • Prioritize work scopes to ensure contractors have a clear understanding of daily work tasks and timelines.

      • Oversee labour and equipment for maintenance and repair on all CLRP road networks (Including pads)

      • Responsible for site-wide wastewater, potable water, waste disposal, recycling and fuel hauling

      • Support CCL3 airstrip operations, maintenance and collaborate with the Logistics Coordinator

      • Responsible to oversee building and camp maintenance and collaborate with the Lodging Coordinator

      • Order, track and manage 3rd party rental equipment on behalf of all MEG business units

      • Interface with Projects, Drilling, Operations and Maintenance to coordinate site-wide common services including temporary facilities, equipment requirements, hydrovac trucks and general labour

      • Ensure housekeeping, productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained

      • Promote communication as well as good relations between all groups being supported

      • Make sure that maintenance scopes are executed in accordance with all corporate policies and legislated regulations

      • Assign and reassign work based on site priorities and emergencies

      • Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained rental equipment so as to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment

      • Responsible for field supervision of small projects as required

      • Work with Site Services Leads and Planners to ensure required preventative maintenance and work orders are completed in accordance with job plan details, within an appropriate time frame and with adequate supporting documentation

      • Review and approve daily contractor LEM’s and support invoicing approvals as required

      • Ensure all work is planned to meet or exceed MEG Energy’s safety policies, standards, and guidelines

      • Work closely with Site Services Leads and Project Leads to ensure that job plans include accurate and current safety and environmental considerations

      • Report incidents according to protocol and follow up with incidents such as assisting in incident investigations, establishing corrective and preventative actions

      • Responsible for the coordination all safe work permitting requirements

      • Facilitate daily toolbox talks and other contractor/vendor coordination meetings as required

      • Ad-Hoc requests as required

      What you will bring to MEG:

      • High School diploma is required

      • Journeyman ticket in the construction or maintenance trades is an asset

      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in field maintenance and construction

      • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in field leadership

      • Project Management experience is considered an asset

      • Strong interpersonal, networking, teamwork and collaboration skills is required.

      • Excellent analytical, project/time management and organizational skills is required

      • Strong facilitation skills effective at achieving alignment among multi-disciplined work groups at all organizational levels is required

      • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required

      • Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office suite of programs

      • Experience in Computer Managed Maintenace Systems (CMMS)

      • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage competing priorities, effectively in a changing environment and within defined timelines is critical

      • Self-starter, with the ability to work both with a team or independently

      • Experience working with diverse communities and groups
