      The Sitework Engineer 3 position requires 7-10 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Job responsibilities include providing sitework engineering design services and field support, preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs, developing cost estimates and material takeoffs, providing schedule and staffing input for projects, efficiently transitioning between multiple projects, and applying technical writing and Office suite skills daily. This position requires travel 25% of the time. Skillsets and expertise required for this position include knowledge of environmental regulations such as erosion control BMPs, GA-EPD, and NPDES, ability to develop scope definitions, schedules, material takeoffs, and cost estimates, ability to coordinate with others in the production of design documents, extensive knowledge or certification in erosion and sediment control and stormwater drainage and hydrology design, proficient using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for sitework design, previous experience in Civil sitework construction is a plus. Candidate must have a working knowledge and understanding of sitework design principals to be able to prepare accurate grading design plan sets, must display good technical writing skills, Office suite proficiency, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal customers (i.e., project management, construction, maintenance, design engineering staff, etc.) and external customers (i.e. architects, contractors, vendors, etc.). Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required for this position. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Georgia, or the ability to obtain one within 12-months of hire, is preferred. This position is on the team that provides Civil sitework engineering design services to the Georgia Power Company (GPC) Power Delivery (PD) organization. The reporting location for this position will be at the Georgia Power Company (GPC) General Services Headquarters, 62 Lake Mirror Rd, Bldg. 6, Forest Park, GA 30297 with an in-office requirement of four (4) days a week (Monday through Thursday). Remote working one (1) day a week on Friday is an option, provided the individual has reliable internet access.
