Overview

A loving family in Summit, New Jersey is seeking a local part-time nanny/family assistant for their two kids, ages 4 and 6, to start in September 2024. Dad works full time, Mom is currently home but would love to start working more again. They are very flexible on the schedule; they want to find the right person and are happy to accommodate schedules because of that. The ideal schedule would be 2-5 days per week, 2:30pm-7:30pm, with occasional date nights and weekend hours available if wanted. The family is willing to guarantee 10-25 hours per week, depending on what the candidate needs.

Responsibilities

• School pick-ups for both kids
• Taking them to various after-school activities
• Planning play dates and park trips/outings when schedule permits
• Helping schedule activities and calendar with mom
• Light child related housekeeping such as laundry, tidying
• Preparing healthy snacks and dinner
• Bath-time
• Bedtime routine when needed
• Family Assistant duties include putting groceries away, bringing in packages, occasional errands if time permits
• Cooking for the parents is a plus but not a requirement.

Qualifications

• Someone positive who enjoys kids
• Someone looking for part-time hours only
• Ideally has their own car to transport the kids, family car is not provided at this time

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly rate is $30-$40 per hour, based on experience
