  Overview

  A family of four currently in Nashville, TN is seeking a TEMP full-time nanny to help care for their 3-year-old son to start ASAP through the end of the year, about 5.5 months. The family also has an 8-month-old daughter, but the nanny will not be in charge of the baby much as mom stays home with the baby. The general schedule will be Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, for a guaranteed 40 hours per week, with the flexibility for night-time coverage and longer travel on occasion, and an occasional date night or Saturday. Their son starts preschool in September, so they do ask for some flexibility with schedules as they get used to the new routine of what they need then, but will always guarantee the 40 hours per week. This position includes travel to Los Angeles, Miami, and NYC. The family is open to a live-in, or live-out candidate, there are private accommodations on premises for the nanny if needed. They travel often, and nanny will accompany them, and always have a private room/back house on property, depending on the location. While the position is currently temporary, they are very open to keeping the right candidate on in a full-time capacity. They are open to relocating the right candidate if needed, so local and non-local candidates may apply. This position is great for a positive, friendly, and energetic candidate who loves kids, and loves to travel!

  Responsibilities

  • Overall care for the child, caring for their health and well-being, while also being playful and creating an engaging environment
  • Maintaining the schedule and routine, planning active and engaging activities
  • Planning age-appropriate and developmental activities, play dates, and outings
  • Coordinating schedules for naps and meals, activities, and travel
  • Preparing healthy snacks and meals
  • Managing the tidiness and organization of child spaces and belongings
  • Child-related light housekeeping when needed

  Qualifications

  • Ability to navigate involved parents - know when to step in, and when to step back
  • Positive attitude, flexible, creative
  • Loving and calm energy when needed
  • Energetic and bubbly enough to care for a toddler, get on the floor and play, chase at the park, etc
  • Proactive and thinking ahead, and able to take direction when needed
  • Natural with kids
  • An educational background in Child Development/ECE or another relevant field is a huge plus
  • Experience traveling with a family for long periods of time is a huge plus

  Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a professional nanny
  • Must have at least 3 strong references from previous families
  • Driver’s license and clean driving record - a nanny car is provided
  • Must be able to swim or feel confident in the water with children
  • Team player with excellent communication
  • Must be travel ready - the family travels often, 1-6 weeks at a time
  • Infant/child CPR and First-Aid certified, or willing to certify
  • Legal to work in the US

  Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly rate is based on experience, and ranges from $40-$45
  • Standard benefits of vacation, sick days, and holidays offered, prorated for the temp position
  • Live-in accommodations include a private room and private bathroom, or private guest house on property, depending on the location
