      Skills Advantage Assessor are assessors who are responsible for thoughtful and careful observation, scoring and evaluation of all Assessment Center participants. Assessors will follow the protocols of Organization Systems International and Strayer University. Assessors will conduct meaningful feedback sessions with participants utilizing strengths-based coaching techniques. Strayer University is pleased to work with an ethnically and racially diverse student body.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Workforce Skills: Learn and apply a deep expertise of workplace skill competencies to related demonstrable behaviors.

      • Behavior Analysis: Use observational analysis techniques to identify and record specific behaviors demonstrated by participants.

      • Rating: Rate behaviors using a validated tool with unbiased professional judgment.

      • Writing: Compose descriptive and objective narratives for assigned participants.

      • Integration: Collaborate with other assessors and administrators on data integration sessions to ensure a valid and reliable process.

      • Process: Understand and follow the professional standards and process protocols for assessment center delivery.

      • Feedback: Use coaching techniques to provide constructive feedback that celebrates proficient competencies and supportive direction for further development.

      • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of the program and one's own professional development by participating in feedback sessions, surveys, and/or further training/development opportunities.

      Additional Requirements:

      • Successful completion of provided training consisting of classroom, observational, and practical components. Successful completion of all components is required to become certified to assess.

      • Certification is required for continued employment.

      • Availability from 8 AM to 5PM ET on two consecutive weekdays. Expect a minimum of three (3) hours additional independent scoring on the evening of day one.

      • Technology: Ability to navigate assessment center tools efficiently and effectively.

      Work Experience:

      • 3-5 years’ experience in counseling, testing, coaching, education, business or HR Management.

      Education:

      • Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Counseling, HR, Leadership, Management, Organizational Development, Communication, or Education.

      • Or Master's degree in related fields with minimum of 5 years' experience in one of the above fields.

      Other:

      • Must be able to travel up to 25% of time which includes over the weekend and/or over holidays based on event schedules.

      • Individual located in the metro Washington DC area preferred, but not required.

      • Must be able to commute/travel to Herndon, VA corporate office and other event locations as business needs warrant.

      • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.

      • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

      • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.

      • Access information using a computer.

      • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.

      • Effectively cope with stressful situations.

      • Strong mental acuity.

      • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

      • Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification.

      $19.50 - $29.75 - Hourly
