      Position Summary:
      Provide friendly, efficient “Unsurpassed Service” to guests while on the slot floor. The Slot Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of gaming machines. Assists Slot Attendants who encounter complex problems and malfunctions while working on the floor. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

      Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.
      • Be involved in all aspects of machine conversions and relocations, including but not limited to paperwork and sign installation.
      • Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department.
      • Responsible for maintenance, repairs, installs, and general operating conditions of slot machines, electronic boards, bill acceptors and printers on the casino floor.
      • Troubleshoot slot machines, perform RAM clears, option slot machines and have a fundamental understanding of IGT Player tracking systems and components.
      • Establish thorough familiarity with all test equipment and support equipment progressive controllers and related equipment.
      • Attend regular Technician meetings and share knowledge, work, and repair methods with other Team Members and Management.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the slot machines and related equipment.
      • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of completed work.
      • Key issuance control: slot machines and drop cabinets.
      • Be able to communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner.
      • Be aware of all current and upcoming events and promotions.
      • Respond to calls from Slot Team Members and provide technical assistance.
      • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

      Essential Qualifications:
      • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
      • Have basic math skills.
      • Be able to communicate, understand, and read and write English.
      • Maintain positive and effective working relationships with teammates and guests.
      • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
      • Must be at least 21 years of age.
      • Must be able to obtain a Gun Lake Tribal gaming license at the key employee level.
      • Must have three (3) plus years minimum technical-related experience and/or two (2) years slot tech experience.

      Physical Requirements:
      • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
      • Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs. using a hand truck with or without assistance.
      • Ability to drive a truck.
      • Must have a valid driver’s license for the state in which the property is located and have a clean driving record.
      • Ability to utilize a 2-way radio and communicate clearly with fellow Team Members.
      • Have the manual dexterity necessary to operate small and large hand tools.

      Work Conditions:
      Work is typically in an area that may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
