Job Description

- Providing overall Spectrum Management subject matter expertise to all elements of the program architecture
- Support the evaluation and refinement of Stakeholder Requirements and the Definition of and flow-down to lower-level documents for development
- Support the development and coordination of various policies and procedures
- Interact with services and interagency partners to provide integrated solutions to warfighter needs and negotiate spectrum management activities, as needed
- Generate data to guide architecture pivot courses of action based on industry inputs
- Provide independent analysis of vendor technology claims
- BS degree in STEM field
- 15+ years of experience in Space Based Industry and with familiarity with advanced tech programs
- U.S. Citizen with Top Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain SAP level clearances as required
- Experience with all aspects of Sprectrum Management actiivities
- MS degree in STEM field
- Experience in:
- Space experience in the areas of Space Based programs
- Space Based space to ground integration experience with Major Prime or Subcontractor
- Ground system build out and test
- Space Systems and Payloads
- Program portfolio management
- Mission Partner/Stakeholder relations
- Technology selection for space applications
Overview
Stellar Solutions is looking for a highly experienced and highly motivated SME/Senior Systems Engineer to support the spectrum allocation and approval process in El Segundo, CA. This position provides expertise in the spectrum application process, authorities and rules as they apply to satellites and their associated global ground systems.
Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
Ideal applicant will have a technical understanding of space spectrum management policies and will be working with international partners. The applicant will help program managers understand the spectrum management process, information needed and timelines involved to ensure that all new and existing programs follow all applicable regulations.

Location: El Segundo, CA – Note: Position is Hybrid and may require travel to customer location
Travel: Less than 20% of the time
The typical pay range for this position is USD $165,000 - $220,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
Deliverable(s)
Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
