Job Description
- Req#: 1346630
- Monitor resident’s capacity and notify Licensed staff to adjust plans as needed.
- Assist clients in developing personalized plans for quitting smoking
- Provide education and resources to clients on the dangers of smoking and the benefits of quitting
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans
- Assist residents place Aprons on and monitor smoking activity
- Take residents from/to rooms after the session
- Clean the smoking section/area after each session.
- Reports any allegations of Abuse and Neglect to their Direct supervisor
- Any duties assigned by supervisor
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to read written directions, comprehend verbal instructions.
- Working knowledge of office machines (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.)
- Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
- The responsibilities of this position involve significant physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 30 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting.

Job Summary:Washington Care Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Smoking Aide that will assist in a safe smoking protocol to ensure residents can smoke in the designated smoking area and securing smoking materials and safety equipment upon the conclusion of designated smoking times.
