What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and synthesize relevant scientific literature to inform research questions
- Manage and analyze data, and write findings for peer-reviewed publications
- Develop visualizations for effectively communicating research results
- Coordinate virtual and in-person meeting arrangements for working groups
- Collaborate across working group leadership and members to build professional relationships
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in a natural or social science discipline relevant to conservation science, awarded by the start of the position (and no longer than 4 years prior)
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in conservation science
- Experience in collecting, manipulating, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing scientific and geospatial data
- Proficiency in ESRI's ArcGIS platforms
- Strong writing and communication skills in English
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge or experience related to tidal wetlands
- Familiarity with programming and geospatial analyses in Python
- Experience that demonstrates attention to detail
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders, including non-scientists
- Ability to prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment
