Preferred experience of working in a similar sustainability and impact role
Track record in in successful project management
Must be a confident and articulate communicator, that adapts style to a wide range of audiences with the exceptional stakeholder management experience
Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple projects simultaneously, with projects delivered on time and to budget
Ability to create detailed programme/project plans, and to present these clearly to stakeholders
- Starting salary of circa £45,000 (National) and circa £50,000 (London based applicants) depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
- Bonus opportunity - 8% annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.

We are recruiting for a sustainability and social impact consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a great job for someone with a passion for social impact and sustainability. You’ll need to be a driven self-starter, be a people person and take pride in delivering end to end projects, taking ownership and accountability.
This role will support our key social action hub in the sustainability function, to maximise Aviva’s positive community and customer impact through our partnerships, support the business units with their future plans (e.g., how we support vulnerable customers, how we provide more financially inclusive props), and deliver a ‘Place Focused’ approach for our social action agenda.
A bit about the job:
In this role you’ll be supporting the Social Action team in developing and delivering the implementation strategy for the ‘Place Focused’ elements of Aviva’s Social Action agenda. You’ll be leading projects as well as participating in workshops with stakeholders at various sites and setting up projects ensuring smooth running end to end. You will work closely with different areas of the business to draw on expertise that shapes partnerships and programmes and embed these into the business units.
