      We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Impact Manager to join the team in being a brand ambassador both internally and externally for Santander Communications and Responsible Banking by demonstrating our belief through action.

      As a Social Impact Manager, you’ll Work closely with the Director of Strategy and Operations for Education and Social Impact to develop and deliver our social strategy, supporting Santander UK’s purpose to help people and businesses prosper. As a key member to the team you’ll, also contribute to evolving the Social Impact agenda and deliver high quality, high impact activities that deliver our objectives and targets.

      The difference you’ll make:

      • Acting as a subject matter expert and support to the SUK business divisions, you will embed the Social Impact Strategy within wider business strategy

      • Developing and implementing the social strategy within Santander UK, aligning with Group to respond to and support the UK’s key societal challenges

      • Leading the agenda to achieve our strategic priorities across our customer, community and people pillars by driving the social impact metrics

      • Evaluating the impact of social initiatives, using best practice, impact assessment tools and methodologies to effectively demonstrate how we are contributing to strategic targets

      • Identifying and implementing enabling technology aligned with appropriate processes to drive automation, simplification, standardisation and data quality for monitoring and evaluating Social Impact initiatives

      • Supporting the development of our communications, establishing a robust corporate narrative on Social Impact promotion through appropriate channels including our website

      What you’ll bring:

      • Previous strategic leadership or stakeholder management experience is a key requirement for this role, as you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to drive growth and cultivate strategic partnerships

      • An excellent understanding of social impact measurement frameworks and performance benchmarks

      It would also be nice for you to have:

      • Excellent interpersonal skills - persuades and influences others, using a range of approaches, to achieve deliverables

      • Ability to build collaborative relationships across the business across all levels

      • Understanding of political, environmental, social, and technological trends and operates within current context which impacts our business

      • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to cut through complexity and provide effective solutions

      This role is based in Milton Keynes, and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.

      • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus

      • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.

      • 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year
