      Job Description

      CNBC is seeking a social media superstar to help reach new audiences at CNBC Make It. The social producer will create and distribute content aimed at increasing traffic and engagement across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and others.

      Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

      • Work with Make It’s Senior Social Media Editor to execute strategy across our platforms
      • Write, optimize and schedule original site content in a timely manner
      • Grow audience engagement by creating highly shareable posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Threads and LinkedIn
      • Strong interest and knowledge in vertical video posting and sharing practices
      • Produce social-first content for Reels and TikToks
      • Maintain brand voice and presence
      • Community engagement across social channels

      Qualifications

      • Minimum of 2 years working full time in a newsroom or for a company with a focus on news and storytelling
      • A proven track record of growing social accounts and referrals
      • Strong news judgment and a sense of trending topics that will resonate with the CNBC and CNBC Make It audience
      • Must be able to edit and write accurately in a deadline-oriented environment
      • Passionate about digital storytelling and creating the best user experience online
      • Ability to perform and multi-task under pressure
      • Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
      • Bachelor's degree

      Desired Characteristics:

      • Fast learner who is excited to help build new audiences
      • Photoshop experience is a plus
