      LOCATION: 100% remote (EST time zone; preference is NY)
      DURATION: 6 month contract (potential to extend)
      PAY RANGE: $38 - $48/hr

      TOP 3 SKILLS:
      • 3+ years of experience in a creative role with an emphasis on creating for and managing social media accounts
      • Must have Design Account Management experience (managing overall aesthetic and tone of an account) and content management experience (creation of engaging captions, hashtags and descriptions to accompany visual content)

      Summary:
      We are seeking a highly creative and experienced social media producer to join our @design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for finding, surfacing and developing original content for our official @design social media accounts

      The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in social media, internet culture and design and art world trends, with a proven track record of community engagement and producing engaging social content optimized for the Instagram platform, who has sound judgement and instincts.       Responsibilities
      • Assist in research and content development
      • Working with the team, contribute to the research and development of concepts for new forms of storytelling on Instagram and Threads
      • Identify, surface and amplify Instagram and Threads trends across a diverse spectrum of creative and cultural topics
      • Data Organization and insights
      • Assist in maintaining the social media content calendar
      • Support the production of detailed monthly insights reports to track successes, challenges and learnings
      • Understand the interests and behaviors of the @design audience and how to best connect with them and keep them engaged
      • Communication, collaboration and community engagement
      • Work collaboratively across the team and communicate effectively
      • Partner with external stakeholders, such as artists and creative partners
      • Identify and address opportunities for systems and process improvements
      • Engaging daily with the Instagram and Threads @design audience in comments and DMs

      Content Production
      • Establish and iterate on best practices for regular series content production
      • Help maintain both @design Instagram and Threads accounts, publishing and organizing the feeds.
      • Support the development of original content and assets for social media — namely @design on Instagram and Threads — aligning to Instagram brand guidelines
      • Assist in curating creatives to feature in existing/ongoing series
      • Liaise with creatives, setting up interviews, writing creative briefs and managing timelines
      • Provide feedback on commissioned work, liaising closely with the wider team
      • Produce features, fine-tuning details including music, caption credits and ensuring accuracy through fact checks
      • Publish across surfaces, coordinating with internal and external partners as needed
      • Experiment with Instagram tools and creative strategies to drive account growth

      Minimum Qualifications
      • 3+ years of experience in a creative role with an emphasis on creating for and managing social media accounts
      • A love of making online social content and comfortable being in the weeds managing creative assets
      • An in-depth knowledge, familiarity and experience of working with the Instagram and Threads products, to publish creative content across multiple surfaces including Reels, Stories and Feed
      • Experience running projects with multiple stakeholders across leadership levels
      • Experience collaborating with external creative and production partners
      • Experience building working relationships with core and cross-functional teams
      • Demonstrated experience working in creative production for an international audience
      • Experience with quick-turn/rapid response communications and day-to-day community management
      • Experience designing assets and writing copy for social media
      • A passion for (and strong grasp of) social media, humor and emerging culture
      • Experience in trend spotting and translating trends to social
      • Art and design world experience and/or knowledge essential

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience working within a creative department that places priority on visual storytelling
      • Demonstrated experience creating content for an international audience
      • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suites including InDesign, Photoshop and/or After Effects
      • Some experience working with Figma is a plus

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
