      Position Summary:

      Ballast Point Brewing Company is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate would have a passion for craft beer, a deep understanding of social media platforms, and a proven track record of creating engaging content. This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.


      Key Responsibilities:

      • Content Creation:
        • Develop high-quality, original, engaging, and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
        • Utilize Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other editing apps for text, video, and photo editing.
      • Content Calendar Management:
        • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely delivery of content that reflects current promotions, events, beer releases, and restaurant updates.
      • Strategy Development:
        • Design and implement social media strategies aligned with business goals.
        • Drive traffic into restaurants through creative and effective social media campaigns.
      • Analytics:
        • Monitor SEO and traffic metrics to optimize social media presence.
        • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and other applications.
      • Platform Management:
        • Monitor and manage various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
        • Ensure consistency and accuracy in the portrayal of information, images, operational hours, and contact details.
      • Community Engagement/Events:
        • Maintain a network of industry/community contacts and stay informed about local opportunities/activities/trends.
        • Participate in community/team events, which may require physical activity including setting up event spaces, carrying promotional materials, etc.

      Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

      • 2-4 years of experience in social media marketing/content creation or a related field. An internship will be considered in lieu of work experience.
      • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
      • Competency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO, social analytics, and platform management.
      • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and various social media platforms.
      • Strong writing, proofreading, and presentation skills.
      • Ability to work in a minimally supervised environment, juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
      • Photography skills and familiarity with WordPress.

      Additional Information:

      • This role primarily involves working in an office setting and using a computer for extended periods.
      • The work environment includes occasional travel to Ballast Point retail locations.
      • Community/Team events may require physical activity.
      • Flexibility to work on weekends if required by an event schedule.
