      Job Description (General Summary): The Family Team Meeting Facilitator reports to the Family Team Meeting Supervisor at the Fulton Access and Resource Center and conducts Family Team Meetings to support CPS, Foster Care, and the ILP (Independent Living Unit) unit transitional meetings.


      Role and Responsibilities:

      • Work closely with Child Protective Services and Foster Care units to help incorporate fathers in the case management process as it relates to safety and permanency for children.
      • Provide case management services to fathers in the community such as: becoming self-sufficient, educate on the legitimization process, and provide services that will help make them more active in their children’s lives.
      • Speak to the community and local agencies on the importance of fathers being active in children’s lives.
      • Coordinate with the program director and supervisor on training Child Protective Service and Foster Care units on the important of having father involved in our active cases.
      • Network with other community agencies on how we can better service fathers in the community.
      • Facilitate Family Team Meetings in CPS and Foster Care Cases.
      • Serve as a Community Liaison for the Dekalb ARC and participate in community events throughout the year.



      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
      • Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, a valid state-issued driver's license, and an acceptable driving history record


      Preferred Skills/Qualifications

      • This applicant will have a social services or human services degree.
      • It is preferred that this applicant have some case management experience in child welfare in foster care and/or cps.
      • It is preferred that this applicant have experience working with fathers and experience with working with community partners.
      • This applicant will have good writing and communication skills.
      • It is preferred that this applicant have some knowledge of current services in the community.


      Employment Information
      Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

      The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.
