- Bachelor’s Degree of related subject from accredited university.
- Indiana Teaching Certificate.
- Experience is preferred, but not necessary for hiring.
- Develops and implements plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
- Prepares lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences.
- Presents the subject matter according to guidelines established by Indiana
- Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodations for individual needs of students assigned.
- Works cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students.
- Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning and implementing
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s).
- Uses technologies in the teaching/learning process.
- Consistently assesses student achievement through formal and informal assessment.
- Presents a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school.
- Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Manages student behavior in the classroom and administers discipline according to Board Policies and Administrative Regulations.
All applicants must be licensed to teach 6th grade Social Studies and willing to take the Praxis exam to teach 7th and 8th grade Social Studies.
This position will also be coaching boys basketball.

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
