      Salary

      £40,000 per annum, Monday to Friday but flexible working hours will be considered

      Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Social Value Manager will play a vital role in the success of social value within Stagecoach Manchester. The Social Value Manager will be the lead contact point on social value for TfGM with responsibility for introducing, managing and monitoring social value initiatives across Stagecoach Manchester. The role will engage widely with internal and external stakeholders to take social value forward.

      Role Requirements

      • Ensure that social value projects and programmes are delivered in accordance with our commitments and wider business strategy.
      • Support and where necessary arrange marketing materials for job fairs, training events, local supplier/meet the buyer events, school outreach.
      • Attend/arrange staff to deliver volunteering programmes.
      • Brokering, coordinating, and monitoring of jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships, work experience placements delivered in-house and/or within our supply chain.
      • Lead on Social Value Portal Reporting and preparing performance and evaluation information and briefings to TfGM.
      • Build and maintain new and existing relationships with potential partners such as schools, colleges, employment agencies etc to source candidates for our in-house and supply chain skills and employment opportunities.
      • Management of charity partners e.g. Forever Manchester and governance procedures associated with the funding of projects.
      • Work with head office and depot teams to communicate updates and engage with Stagecoach Manchester staff and supply chain on social value success.

      Essential

      • A passion for social impact and a commitment to creating positive change.
      • Experience of developing strategies and delivery plans to drive change in projects
      • Demonstrable experience of working with and influencing stakeholders.
      • Strong organisational and project management skills.
      • A self-starter with initiative, able to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint Word).

      Desirable.

      • Understanding of social value drivers and frameworks.
      • Evidence of understanding of local communities/stakeholders in order to drive forward impactful outcomes.
      • Experience with supply chain management and engagement including ‘Meet the Buyer’ type events.
