      Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:

      A master's degree in social work.

      NOTE:
      Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties:
      • Provides psychosocial evaluation aimed at identifying the psychopathology and needs manifested in adults with acute and chronic psychiatric diagnoses.
      • Provides specialized individual, group or family therapy requiring advanced treatment.

      • Develops and implements detailed, individualized treatment plans, which then are utilized to guide treatment of patients in addressing identified symptoms, psychosocial problems and behavioral disturbances of clients.
      • Participates in clinical development meetings at the agency level and participates in ongoing dialogue with the social work supervisor and facility manager regarding agency practices and caseload management.
      • Prepares progress notes, psychosocial evaluations, psychosocial updates when indicated by major life changes, treatment plans, and discharge plans or summaries.
      • Provides case management interventions involving the interpersonal, social, financial, housing and physical health needs of the severely and chronically mentally ill.

      Position-Specific Details:

      This position may be filled as:

      • Temporary Job Appointment: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment not to exceed 48 months.
      • Probational Appointment: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment, if selected.

      • Social Worker 1 (pay grade level SS-412) has a minimum salary of $18.38/hourly; $1,470.40/bi-weekly.
      • Social Worker 2 (pay grade level SS-413) has a minimum salary of $19.67/hourly; $1,573.60/bi-weekly.
      • Social Worker 3 (pay grade level SS-414) has a minimum salary of $21.05/hourly; $1,684.00/bi-weekly.
      • Social Worker 4 (pay grade level SS-415) has a minimum salary of $22.52/hourly; $1,801.60/bi-weekly.

      **Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
