      NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION:
      Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility.

      Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking a Social Worker 4 to develop and implement complex individualized case management plans of service and social work treatment to address identified needs, problems, and behavioral/emotional reactions of patients and families. Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

      A master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties:
      • Works with a treatment team to provide quality care and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health (mental health and substance use) treatment. To do this the the selected individual must utilize available community resources and/or referrals to a care manager and provide psychiatric assistance to consumers who have a behavioral health diagnosis.
      • Provides ongoing therapy, including crisis intervention, to individuals and families in one-on-one and/or group treatment. This includes treatment in accordance with the ethical and legal standards set forth by the appropriate professional governing licensing board, LDH, and NEDHSA.
      • Plans, prioritizes, and manages clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases. This includes completion of initial biopsychosocial assessments, annual reassessments, ASIs, and all assigned screening tools in accordance with NEDHSA policy.
      • Attends in-service trainings for staff and complete required trainings, in a timely manner and assists with the collection of data for the TOMS and QOC surveys, as assigned.

Also, serves as backup to treatment, medical, and support staff at NEDHSA's clinics, as needed. Additional duties may be required as assigned by supervisor and/or appointing authority.

      Position-Specific Details:

      Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty

      Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.

      • 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians.
      (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
