The UNC School of Education is currently seeking a UNC-Chapel Hill Carolina Community Academy Lab School Social Worker. The position is a ten-month, full-time, non-teaching position for the School of Education available August 1, 2024. The social worker reports to the Carolina Community Academy Principal.
As a member of the Carolina Community Academy team, the school social worker will foster a culture of innovation that supports effective practices/strategies to promote student academic and personal success for all students in the Academy..The social worker will work collaboratively with others to facilitate and implement innovative programs to achieve the mission of the school. The school social worker will work collaboratively with the Carolina Community Academy Principal, UNC Chapel Hill Carolina Community Academy liaison, and university faculty/staff to support the successful social-emotional, physical, and academic development of the students within the Academy.
