      Job Overview:

      • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am 4:00 pm
      • Location: Fully onsite in the Lower East Side
      • Pay Type: Salary; $65,000 and $67,500 if Bilingual
      • Position can be full-time or prorated to a 10-month position
      • Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

      Program Overview:

      The Health & Wellness Division is a $10M program which provides a wide array of personalized behavioral health services to individuals coping with the challenges brought on by emotional problems and mental illness. As a NYS certified Article 31 mental health facility, the clinic in this division delivers outpatient mental health services, crisis services, HIV family mental health services, vocational rehabilitation, parent education, and case management. Services are provided by culturally competent staff who can communicate in Chinese, Spanish, and English. These programs are designed to help individuals attain their full potential in an environment that values respect, dignity, caring and integrity.

      Qualifications:

      • LMHC/LMSW/LCSW required or MSW
      • Clinical experience with children and families required
      • Bilingual — Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) a plus
      • Computer proficiency with knowledge of AWARDS a plus
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Must be organized and able to maintain up-to-date charting according to State regulations
      • Knowledge of Play Therapy, Family Therapy, and/or Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a plus
      • Knowledge of DSM IV and DSM V

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide individual, group and family services on-site, at school and at the clinic
      • Provide intensive services for high-risk children
      • Provide crisis intervention
      • Complete thorough mental health assessments; including psychosocial evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments
      • Other related duties as assigned

      Essential Physical Job Functions:

      • Ability to walk on sidewalks, up and down stairs, and throughout clinic consistently throughout each day
      • Ability to carry folders, a tablet, a notebook, and cell phone (up to 20 pounds) for several hours per day
      • Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side
