  One of the reasons why the catalog buying experience on Amazon is appealing to buyers is because Amazon controls and curates product listings a buyer sees. This provides Amazon buyers a one stop experience to find all information about the product, sellers who are selling the product, and offers available for purchase. Item Data Service (IDS) organization is responsible and authority for establishing product identity and attributes which lights up product detail page, supply chain and fulfillment use cases across all marketplaces. The portfolio of services and products we own directly impacts both seller and buyer experiences. Being the world’s largest product catalog with billions of products, and billions of transactions per day the scale our services support is massive. As a Software Development Engineer, you will solve unique and complex problems at a rapid pace, utilizing the latest technologies to create solutions that are highly scalable. You will find that there is an unlimited amount of opportunities to delight our Selling Partners and Buyers by solving problems they face on day-to-day basis.   Key job responsibilities
  You will own design and development of product features, building scale, efficiency, and differentiated customer experiences. We’re looking for software engineers passionate about building software solutions end-to-end, have strong software development experience delivering at scale solutions, and systems design skills.
  You should have a demonstrated ability delivering within a DevOps delivery model from scoping requirements, requirement analysis, design, development, test, CI/CD, security implementation, and operational excellence with the ability to work cross-functionally with Product Managers, business stakeholders and other tech teams through the actual launch of the project. You should also have experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.

  - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  - Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
