      Ring is looking for a talented and motivated engineer who can specialize in network connectivity. As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage with cross-discipline teams to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will be responsible for the design and development of Bluetooth, WiFi, VLAN, Cellular and related protocols. Working in a team, engineers help to develop and support consumer electronic security and IoT devices. Your ownership can span across the application, device framework, connectivity stack and drivers. We are a team of inventors dedicated to building world-class products.

      Key job responsibilities
      - Create technical specifications, design documentation, and test plans, and participate in test and verification
      - Develop, maintain and support our continuous integration environment, including packaging and deployment of software
      - Engage with 3rd party vendors and internal organizations to design and implement solutions
      - Write and maintain scripts to initialize and control the peripherals of the platforms
      - Maintain or enhance current embedded Linux code and scripts
      - Establish connectivity benchmarks, baselines and identify areas for continuous improvement
      - Provide technical support for critical issues as reported by QA and customers
      - Work side-by-side with QA to complete qualified work

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Malvern, PA, USA- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
      - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
      - Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
      - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
