Job Description

- Designing and developing backend services and APIs to support web and mobile applications.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers, with server-side logic
- Ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend services through testing, monitoring, and optimization.
- Ensuring code quality through code reviews, writing unit tests and working closely with our test team.
- Contributing to the full development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and design to implementation and deployment.
- Learning and applying agile development practices, including continuous integration and deployment to Google App Engine or Amazon Web Services
- Other duties as required.
- Currently enrolled in computer science; system design or software engineering degree program
- Experience using Mac and Windows operating systems and developing applications using one or more of the following: Javascript, HTML5, CSS, C++, C#, Java, Python.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and technologies quickly
- Role will be partially in office or fully remote depending on location of the succesful candidate
- Length of role 1 year term only (only accepting Current students that can do a full 1 year term Septemeber 2024-August 2025)
- Must be a current registered student
