Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with three (3) years of full-time experience as a software developer. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience, a Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field may be considered. Experience in at least one of the following: Python, R or SQL. Experience with either statistics or applications of machine learning.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in more than one of the required qualification areas: Python, R, and SQL. Experience with big data analytics (Spark). Experience with healthcare data.Brief Description of Duties:
The successful candidate will work as a member of a software team and will develop and deploy big data analytics methods and tools for electronic health record data. The successful candidate will also implement the data analytics methods using Spark on a Cloud computing platform. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills and will be an excellent team player.· Develop, maintain, and deploy big data analytics methods and tools. Implement the tools and methods on a Cloud platform.
· Perform quality assurance testing and code reviews of the big data analytics methods and tools. Prepare documentation on how to use the tools and methods.
· Release updates to the methods and tools as new requirements are identified.
· As a member of the project team, prepare project reports on the tools and methods.
· Other duties as assigned.
