      Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms, with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Software Developer to be responsible for the creation and modification of the firm’s advanced systems and applications. S/he is involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and is expected to support and understand the firm’s complex systems and applications.

      Reporting to the Manager of Application Development and Architecture, this role will sit in our Philadelphia, New York or San Francisco office and offers a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working arrangement.

      Instructional/Support Activities Include:

      • Developing new software applications in partnership with business analysts and technical architects.

      • Upgrading existing software as needs change.

      • Localizing software products for different international markets.

      • Testing software to ensure the code is correct; fixing ('debugging') errors when they occur, and rerunning and rechecking the solution until it produces the correct results.

      • Working with trainers and technical writers to develop user support materials.

      • Providing technology guidance to shape overall approach to application development.

      • Ensuring solutions are developed and implemented according to industry best practices.

      • Monitoring current and future trends, technology and information in the application development technology space with a focus towards positively affecting organizational projects.

      • Presenting solutions to leadership, management, and peer developers.

      • Ensuring solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule through code reviews, adherence to established standards, etc.

      • Applying and integrating emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture.

      • Mentoring team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.

      • Working with various teams to ensure the quality of solutions

      Experience/Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline and 2+ years experience developing, deploying and supporting complex computing applications in a large-scale environment

      • Must be familiar with Client Side MVVM frameworks

      • Excellent understanding of OO principles

      • Experience with both client and server-side unit testing

      • Knowledge of a wide range of application development technologies i.e. .NET, SQL Server, Web Services, Reporting Services, Windows Services, Web Application Development and N Tier application development

      • Strong knowledge of Visual Studio and related development tools/environments

      • Strong knowledge of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) design and implementation over different operating systems and languages

      • Practical experience working within an Agile project management pipeline

      • Practical experience working within CI/CD DevOps pipeline

      • Ability to apply design concepts – layered architectures, components, interfaces, messaging and patterns

      • Strong practical experience developing object-orientated applications using one or more object-oriented languages ex. (C# .NET, Java, C++, etc…)

      • Skills and knowledge in a wide range of technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, XML, AJAX, jQuery, SQL Server, JSON, Angular

      • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) is a plus

      • Azure Cloud experience is a plus

      • Mobile development experience is a plus

      For positions in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA, the salary range for this job posting is: $97,486.00 - $155,977.00

      The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in: a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident insurance plans, and health savings and flexible spending accounts for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may utilize the Employee Assistance Program, Work/Life Services, HealthAdvocate, Bright Horizons Back-Up Child Care, and WageWorks Commuter Benefits for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive: 9 paid holidays per calendar year, 2 personal days per year, and up to 20 days of vacation per year. In accordance with state applicable law, eligible employees will earn 1 paid sick leave hour for 30 hours worked. Eligible employees may also take up to five days off for bereavement leave, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave per year and up to 10 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave per pregnancy. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
