      About the Role – Software Developer

      Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to support the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems Contract. This role is part of a high-profile program, contributing to mission-critical products designed for senior leadership. Responsibilities include development, upgrades, maintenance, R&D, and testing.

      The ideal candidate will have AWS cloud development experience, including secure cloud integrations, optimized cloud connectivity, and managed cloud services. This position is onsite near Lackland Air Force Base.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Design and develop new applications while integrating innovative solutions into existing applications.
      • Analyze and resolve complex application development challenges, identifying potential tools and technologies to enhance solutions.
      • Develop and maintain web applications, including troubleshooting, software upgrades, and performance optimization.
      • Utilize JavaScript development principles to build scalable and efficient software solutions.
      • Work within an Agile and DevOps environment, leveraging best practices for software development and deployment.
      • Develop and deploy applications in AWS environments, ensuring reliability across development, test, and production stages.
      • Utilize code delivery mechanisms (e.g., Maven, Ant) and continuous integration/delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Subversion, Puppet) to streamline development workflows.
      • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies, proactively enhancing development processes and system performance.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
      • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for data processing and application development.
      • Experience working with SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and optimization.
      • Skilled in developing and maintaining data systems and managing complex datasets.
      • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for reporting and analytics.
      • Ability to identify patterns and trends, develop predictive models, and create data visualizations (tables, graphs, dashboards) to present insights.
      • Experience in data cleanup, including detecting and correcting errors, removing corrupted data, and optimizing dataset quality.
      • Hands-on development experience with Node.js, including building and maintaining scalable applications.
      • Proficiency in developing REST APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and integration.
      • Experience in C# development on Microsoft Windows, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles.
      • Familiarity with TypeScript for building robust and maintainable web applications.
      • Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Analyze data to create and develop machine learning models
      • Perform software quality assurance and testing using a variety of technologies.
      • Technical knowledge of data quality, data modeling, analytics, and predictive modeling
      • Experience with Mobile Development either iOS or Android
      • Experience working with git at the command-line
      • Experience working with development environment on the Mac
      • Experience working with the Linux CLI and Linux scripting
      • Experience working with Sequelize ORM
      • Experience working with VS Code
      • Experience working with MS Visual Studio, Apple configurator and iPad/iPhone MDMs, and AWS would be a plus
      • Active TS/SCI preferred

      Pay Range:

      Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

      The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
