- Conduct system vulnerability and compliance assessments and remediation across OS, with a strong emphasis on networking.
- Support the creation and delivery of security awareness training programs, helping employees recognize and respond to cyber threats.
- Prepare reports on security incidents and trends, providing analysis and recommendations for mitigating future risks.
- Resolve internal and external defects via GNATS.
- Contribute to new product development and ensure security of new code, preventing vulnerabilities like Denial of Service Attacks.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to retain security monitoring tools and enhance incident detection and response strategies.
- Perform FIPS and common criteria certifications on major releases.
- Review functional and design specifications from a security perspective.
- Minimum 1 year of security engineering experience (internship or full-time).
- Bachelor of Science in EE, CS, Computer Engineering, or Security Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team under strict release deadlines.
- Experience with Linux or FreeBSD operating systems.
- Experience with Python, C, Java, RUST, R, or MYSQL programming.
- Familiarity with GIT or other repositories.
- Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI seven-layer model (Layers 2 and 3).
- Ability to read and adhere to industry standards such as IETF RFCs.

As a Cyber Security Software Engineer, you will resolve security defects filed internally or by customers. Analyze security alerts, assist in resolving security incidents, implement security controls, conduct audits, and support security awareness initiatives to safeguard our operating systems from cyber threats.

Salary Range: $102,400.48 - $147,198.90 per year. Compensation includes benefits such as medical, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, and parental leave. Details will be provided upon offer.
