What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build, document, and maintain APIs for web, mobile, and internal tools
- Design and optimize backend systems running on Kubernetes using Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Collaborate with engineers to implement scalable, reliable services
- Develop database models and schemas to support application features
- Monitor and troubleshoot production services using industry-standard tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1–3 years of experience (or equivalent personal projects/internships) in backend software development
- Bachelor's Degree at a minimum
- Strong foundation in Python and Django (or a similar web framework)
- Understanding of REST API design and data modeling concepts
- Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience deploying applications to GCP, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
- Familiarity with containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Cloud Monitoring)
- Interest in healthcare technology and building impactful tools
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot
