Architect, Design and develop system-level camera software for automotive and embedded systems, including userspace, kernel, and firmware components
Review Camera and System board hardware designs and schematics to assess the impact to Camera system software
Champion API design reviews, documentation, application and driver development, performance improvements and safety-critical processes both through advocacy and personal example
Request and collect continuous feedback from partners (internal and external customers, SQA and other supporting teams) and deliver changes to Camera SW planning and processes
BS/MS (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of industry related experience developing embedded software drivers or applications
Strong programming skills in C/C++ with in-depth knowledge of object oriented development.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and communicate across multiple geographies in a multifaceted matrix organization
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an outstanding attention to detail
Experience working on safety critical systems like Automotive, Medical imaging or Robotics software
Background with QNX or Embedded Linux Operating Systems
Experience with device driver development
Understanding of the fundamentals and core concepts for camera pipelines, and image/video capture and processing
Familiar with one or more system safety methodologies and standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO/PAS 21448)
We are looking for a Camera System Software Engineer! NVIDIA is a world leader in the artificial intelligence revolution. Through our DRIVE, Jetson, and Clara platforms we enable real-time applications such as autonomous vehicles, robots, and medical imaging. We also build vertically integrated solutions to demonstrate the value of our technology in new domains. Our team is responsible for the camera software stack used on all of NVIDIA's edge computing platforms to enable these applications.
As a Camera System Software Engineer, you will have an opportunity to work on all layers of the NVIDIA camera and imaging software stack from APIs to kernel and firmware. You will contribute to design and test driven development of software features, and improve the performance, reliability, security, and safety of our software stack.

The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 230,000 USD.
