Responsibilities include:

• Design and build high-performing, reliable solutions for high-throughput data systems using a variety of third-party and eBay internal libraries and frameworks
• Work with other product teams across eBay
• Balance strong ownership and teamwork
• Research, innovate, deliver and grow

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Solid understanding of the software development fundamentals
• Committed to working in an agile environment
• Be a strong proponent of, and adhere to high quality standards
• Proficiency in Java, with Scala being a big plus
• Good understanding of Hadoop ecosystem, Hive and Spark
• Proficiency in different data storages – RDBMS and NoSQL
• Experience working with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Storm)
