      Software Engineer - Hybrid

      Please Note: This position is hybrid; however, you must reside within driving distance of our offices in Los Angeles, CA to attend meetings and team collaboration.

      ClubLabs is the digital acceleration team for Automobile Club of Southern California, also known as, AAA. We are the team responsible for building intuitive customer experiences across the organization’s insurance, membership, financial, emergency roadside, and travel services. We’re a team of engineers, designers, researchers and product managers within AAA delivering maximum value to our members and business for a smarter future.


      As our Software Engineer, you will be a project mover, working as part of a pair programming team that will tackle insurance systems using test-driven development for a large, multistate auto club.

      What You'll Do

      • Architect, design, and implement high-performance APIs and backend services using Node.js

      • Build and maintain scalable cloud solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features

      • Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment pipelines

      • Explore and integrate AI capabilities into existing and new products

      • Mentor and guide software developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence

      • Advocate for best practices in API design, security, performance, and scalability

      What You'll Need

      • 5+ years of experience in software development

      • Strong expertise in Node.js backend frameworks and API development

      • Solid knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture patterns

      • Proficient in Python for scripting, data pipelines, or microservices

      • Exposure to AI/ML concepts (LLMs, Prompt Engineering & related libraries) is a strong plus

      • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git)

      • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

      The starting pay range for this position is:

      $117,600.00 - $156,400.00

      Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
