      As a Software Engineer at Stryker, you will design and implement complex concepts and draft design documentation for robotic-assisted surgery products. You will work closely with peers in software engineering, software quality assurance and project and product management to develop software that meets customer and system requirements. You will follow the defined design practices including Agile methodology and use the sound software engineering principles to ensure that the application software products are safe, robust and user friendly.

      • Build a big-picture understanding of how the company works by collaborating across teams and contributing to strategic goals.

      • Support and contribute to the design and implementation of application software that controls, navigates, and acts as user interfaces for the robotic surgical systems using agile software development principles.

      • Perform tasks such as code reviews, technical documentation, and risk assessments under supervision.

      • Assist the team with test automation such as unit and integration testing in compliance with medical device regulations (e.g., IEC 62304)

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical specialists, system designer, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers.

      What You Need

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

      • Demonstrate understanding/utilization of C++.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Interest/Exposure in software development life cycles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

      • Experience or coursework in OOP, GUI Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Engineering Principles, Computer Graphics, and Robotics and Operating Systems.

      • Interest/Exposure with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines.
