Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
Proactively suggest improvements to applications and processes that enhance the client experience or improve performance
Participate in the maintenance and support of the solution
Participate in agile development process and ceremonies
Work with the Product Development team to understand project requirements and work with other
Engineers on the technical design of those solutions
Keep up to date and act as a leader on Typescript, Vue.js, Angular.js, and their related ecosystems
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
1 - 2 years of experience building web applications
Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript and Vue
Willingness to work as a member of a team, participating in peer code reviews and maintaining project and operational documentation
Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with RESTful services and APIs
Experience working with remote teams
Proficiency with Object-Oriented design principles and working knowledge of Linux OS
Experience in unit testing and automating websites

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
FactSet is looking for talented Software Engineers who will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining various financial applications, tools, and utilities. A software engineer is typically involved in all phases of development – from design through implementation. Software engineers work with various other departments to ensure that FactSet’s products and technologies are responsive to the changing needs of the investment community. Ideal candidates must have a thorough knowledge of Software Engineering principles and best practices. Individuals must possess a high degree of creativity, and a strong talent for problem-solving to conquer complex technical obstacles and work independently.
