      Compensation includes a base salary of $70,700.00 - $106,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

      Cox Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Online Vehicle Exchange engineering team.

      Job Summary:
      As a Software Engineer I, you’ll work on our Online Vehicle Exchange (OVE) platform. OVE is a 24/7 online source for vehicles from Manheim, independent auctions, commercial and dealer inventory, and more where dealers can search, bid/buy and make an offer.on wholesale inventory. Our applications are written in .Ruby/Rails and AWS. We use New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty to monitor and alert on our platform.
      We own and are responsible for our applications from design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Our infrastructure is a built using the latest AWS technologies. We are an Agile team and our engineering organization supports addressing technical debt. In addition to working with Product to prioritize important business initiatives.       • MySQL DB
      Your Role:
      • Design, build, and support solutions for our cloud-native OVE application
      • Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products
      • Engage with your agile delivery team to build a culture of passion, trust, and creativity
      Required Experience:
      • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, (preferably Computer Science). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field.
      • Understanding and experience with object oriented coding.
      • Knowledge of how to design and optimize access of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
      • Familiarity with cloud native software which runs on and integrates in the Cloud with a preference for AWS technologies
      • Use of distributed version control software such as Git.
      • Experience working in an Agile team environment preferred.
