If you have used an automated teller machine (ATM) you have used a mainframe. Mainframe computers play a central role in industries including banking, finance, healthcare, federal, state, and local governments, and other private enterprises. This position will focus on development within VSEn, which is based on technology from IBM z/VSE.



      Job description - entry level position
      We are looking for an entry level software engineer. You will be specialized in the VSEn platform as a user, administrator and developer. For this, we are working with a mentorship program: You will be paired with an expert in the field from our team, to ensure your success and growth in the role.
      There will also be the opportunities to participate in international customer events, and meet our customers and business partners face to face.



      Qualifications and Education Requirements:
      • Fluent English
      • Basic understanding of operating systems and middleware

      • Basic understanding of QA processes withing SW development lifecycle
      • Programming skills for test automation
      • Debugging skills
      • Analytical skills and a structured approach to tasks
      • You are a team player and have integrity
      • Understanding of Agile principles

      Preferred Skills:
      • Operating System programming skills

      • Fluent German
      • Assembler, C, Java, Cobol, or PL/I programming skills
      • IBM zSystems architecture knowledge: usage and development


      Education:
      • Preferred - Bachelors or better in Computer Science.
