      The Software Engineering team is hiring for a Software Engineer 2 professional located at our Chandler, AZ location.

      The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software, simulation, and test tools through the full software life cycle for a launch vehicle. This includes the development of software requirements specifications and design documentation, code and unit test development, and participating in software process activities including peer reviews, integration testing, and configuration management.

      Position Overview

      Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

      Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

      Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

      Basic Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree in STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience or Master's degree and 0 years related engineering experience.

      Ability to obtain a DoD Government Secret Security Clearance

      Software Development experience with C/C++ programming languages

      Experience in embedded real-time software development, debug, test

      Preferred Qualifications

      Bachelor’s degree Computer Engineering

      Interrupt Service Routine, Device Driver, and chip level software development and debugging

      Experience with an Agile development process

      Working knowledge of hardware/software analysis tools (debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, emulators

      Proficiency with Linux

      Familiarity with DOORS Requirement Management System, Cameo System Modeling, Jira/Gitlab tools

      Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) including VxWorks or other equivalent OS

      Salary Range: $73,400.00 - $110,000.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
